The Can Can

Last Friday I knew that my coworkers were going to take me somewhere to celebrate the fact that I’m getting married. A mini-bachelorette party, if you will. I also knew that they wouldn’t dare take me to a strip club, or make me do anything embarrassing, so I went to work that day assuming we’d be headed to dinner and a mani-pedi session afterwards. Which is why when I walked into The Can Can, I was wearing an ivory cardigan, pearls, jeans and a checkered shirt. In a nutshell, all of the preppiest things I own.

Regardless of all the stares I got from the other scantily clad guests who could have easily been a part of the show, I had such a good time. We had dinner and drinks right next to the stage, and believe me when I tell you that it was incredibly entertaining. The performers are ripped. And boy can they dance.

Quote of the night: “Those dancers make me want to re-think the snack drawer”.

Travel day

While I have had an incredible, sunny, relaxing weekend in New Orleans it is always nice to come home. Until I can post pictures from my adventures in Louisiana, I’ll leave you with some home town Seattle photos.

A sunset in Fremont.

The downtown Seattle waterfront.

After 8 years in this city, I still love visiting Pike Place Market.

The gum wall in Post Alley. I've decided my worst nightmare is having my face pushed into it.

Some Portland fashion in Seattle. This is my friend Mike. He's so moustachey.
